Phooey on the Record Store Day Special Edition Ghostbusters glow-in-the-dark-$20-10”!
Paid a buck for this in the bargain bin of my fave store on RSD.
Smug!
Until I played it.
Warped.
Un-smug.

Boo!!!!!!!!! Warped records are the worst! After market prices on these guys are a bit scary as well. My condolences, good sir.

Boo indeed. I’ve had four or five warped records recently. If they play OK I don’t worry – just avoid staring at the tonearm in case of seasickness – but this and a couple of others jump. And you don’t want a jumping stylus, do you?

Just like the tale of Icarus, but in vinyl form. Really, really cool, glow-in-the-dark vinyl form.

Sadly, the wax wings melt all too easily these days.

Ah well. Even with CDs you can come unstuck: I bought ‘Monks Dream’ for $2 last week in an Opp shop – Being in a hurry’ I simply flipped the CD over to check its condition and returned it to the Monk’s Dream case. I should have taken more notice of the label side because the barely decipherable writing did not say Monk at all; when played it revealed a revolting rapper called Melvin.

A dreadful experience. People just do not understand the perils and travails of the Op Shop archeologist.
PS. For Op Shop, read Charity Shop in the UK and Goodwill shop in the US.
