Dog themed covers are so numerous we’ve barely scratched behind the ears of this theme. Yet two posts will do for now.
Favourites? Others you’d include in your own canine covers collection? Walkies?

Of course – Back at the Chicken Shack, my favourite Jimmy Smith album.
NB
This is bad timing for Bulldogs fans who are still smarting.

Excellent. Not sure how I missed This Was.
There is room for an entire post on cartoon dogs, but I think two features is enough, don’t you? 🐶

Incredible String Band – “The hangman’s beautiful daugher” – a bit crowdy to walk just one dog but I guess it was a hippie way of doing things 😛

LOL. Nice get! (Nice album too)

One more: The Human League – “Travelogue” – it’s more like dogs walking the man though 🙂

That’s a fine cover, isn’t it? Could be a sled they are pulling, maybe?

Whew!! Still no two legged dogs!! That’s good to not see.

I don’t know if I’d ever noticed the hounds on the Kate album cover before – I was always just drawn to Kate!
Fleetwood Mask’s Tusk comes to mind as well

*Make that Fleetwood Mac, I think I was already thinking about the ‘sk’ in Tusk while typing!

Yes! Exactly what I thought re Kate, G. Wot dog? 🤣
I had Tusk on the list, but was able to fill the shelves with covers displaying larger doggy images, so it missed the cut. Sorry!

Great call on Doughnut In Granny’s Greenhouse in particular Bruce, a big favourite of mine.

Thanks Joe. I’m not sure Bonzo’s LPs have featured in two posts in a row before!

Extra points for “barely scratched behind the ears.” One Man Dog is one JT’s unappreciated albums from the early years. Great choice and obviously a cool cover! – Marty

Cheers Marty. (I managed to avoid any references to fleas. Probably a good decision, d’you think?)

Definitely. Save it for a Red Hot Chili Peppers post. 🤔

I have a few of these. Forgot all about the dogs on the Bruce one. I always wondered what he was eating off that plate.

Still to cover: Boxer Rebellion, Joe Cocker Spaniel, Gordon Lightfoot Setter, Leon Redbone Coonhound, Taylor “Great” Dayne, Boston Terrier, Manchester Orchestra Terrier, etc. And after all the singles from the Eagles, there’s the B sides. B Eagles. ahahaha! sorry.

You’ve been a terrier with that doggy research, Robert, that’s for sure. However, I’m going to have to report you for B-Eagles. That’s just throwing the stick too far out to sea.

Yeah. I almost regret that one, kind of a limp dog bizkit of a pun, ah well.

Rick Springfield joined his Bull Terrier (and a couple of poodles) on the cover of Success Hasn’t Spoiled Me Yet. There really is no shortage of dog-themed covers (both good and bad, tasteful and tasteless) is there?
