ALBUM COVERS | BLUESKY MINE

With the madness coursing through America’s veins, I’ve become increasingly unwilling to have any intersection between President Pumpkin’s oligarchs and my life. So, like a couple of other friends, I am transitioning from IG to Bluesky for posting records. Do I think the dead fish tech bosses will notice? Of course not. But tens of thousands are leaving IG and that’s a statement of some kind.

I thought it would be fun to share journey with the IG vinyl community. Here, then, are some of the pics I’ve posted in recent days; my favourite blue sky album covers.

Enjoy. And join me [danfan75.bsky.social] if you want an IG or X alternative.

Nice, Bruce. Do you have four years’ worth of blue skies for your followers?! President Pumpkin is losing his f*****g mind.

It is unfolding like a living nightmare, isn’t it?

I guess we could move onto wine, spirits and other mind altering substances? Then a ‘fantasy escape’ theme perhaps. Re-run the extensive ‘transportation’ series from a few years back, and culminate in a night/darkness/despair series. That, of course, presumes Pres Baby-Man doesn’t dismantle US democracy in two months like another historical leader did less than a century ago.

    Nice, all those blue covers.
I recognise some of them, although not the Eno. I’ve streamed a few of his recently and will probably fill the big screen with clusters later today (for Z’s stretch and move session).

Actually, I do, Jack. We all do. Or else democracy may well collapse. Good wishes to you.

Good move. Pleasing to see all those blue skies on Bluesky. The Can one makes me happy, as all associations with The Can always do. And seeing your posts in my feed! Politik away…F the tech bros (he says on a tech bro platform).

Good on ya Bruce. I envy you the Lucky Leif LP, one I’ve never seen in the wild.

I am genuinely avoiding all non sports and culture news at the moment for my own wellbeing, as well as listening to some very hostile music indeed.

Get that, bud. Interestingly, I’ve swung the other way to ambient. 🙂

I suspect you’re just a more mature and better rounded chap than me. I’m still 14 and a half, emotionally speaking.

I was expecting Midnight Oil’s Blue Sky Mine, although I guess it’s more purple.

Glad you got the reference, G. I was mining the collection for blue sky covers and thought it was an amusing misdirection. I really should get a life. 🙂
