Bloggers take pleasure in poking around in their site’s stats, noticing where visitors hail from and what they are looking at when they visit. Vinyl Connection is no exception. The world map showing accumulated visitors sorted by country is truly fascinating; we all secretly want to colour in the whole world.

One of the surprising things I noticed is that the daily chart is not entirely dominated by the four english speaking countries you’d expect (Australia, USA, UK, Canada, in that order). Now and then, another country tops the stats and it is sometimes most unexpected.

I thought it would be a fun musical challenge to feature an album from some of these countries, both as an acknowledgement and for a sense, in these fragmented times, of the global village.
