IT’S IN THE BAG! [QUIZ]

Vinyl Connection acquired 12 albums this year (1) .

Here you can find each one in its original carry bag (2).

The simple task, dear Friend of Vinyl Connection, is to name the Artist and the Album.

The albums span every decade from the 60s to the 00s (3).

PLEASE DON’T post answers in Comments because it kills off the quiz much too quickly.

Answers will be posted here (ironically, in the Comments section) on or about 1 January 2015.

Even if you have not directly connected previously, do have a go and email your answers to

(1) Anyone believing this arrant nonsense should cease imbibing seasonal spirit immediately and consult a Psychologist.

(2) More artistic verisimilitude or, to put it another way, bullshit. Though sometimes the bag is a hint. Sometimes not.

(3) The distribution by decade is 2 5 3 1 1. That’s all the help on offer for now. Oh, OK, you’ve twisted my arm. There are five #1 albums(4) , four Top 5 albums, one that made the Top 10, another scrambled into the Top 20 and a last that did not trouble chart compilers, despite being a seminal record with an iconic cover.

(4) All stats for one (or more) of the UK, US, or Aus.

  8. It is time to wrap up the Vinyl Connection Album Cover Quiz.

    There were two 12/12 scores.
One was a team effort (congratulations SSR), the other admitted to “outrageous cheating” (i.e.: substantial internet use).

So quell your quivering lip, 1537, you can justly claim a substantial portion of the crown with 11/12.

Thanks to all who emailed answers; it was a good response.
Hope you enjoyed a bit of fun. Certainly I enjoyed putting it together.
