I read an hilariously vitriolic destruction of krautrock at The Quietus recently, under the pseudonym Mr Agreeable. Wondered about creating a fictional ‘reaper’ myself. But I’ll probably stick to sound and avoid too much fury.
Of course it will remain a tale told by an idiot, signifying nothing.

Yes, Song for My Father is very very good.Blowing the Blues Away is my favorite. Blue Mitchell , Junior Cook, Louis Hayes. What an ensemble. And of course his work with the Jazz Messengers.
I always loved Rik Mayall. When I found out he died I watched Fistful of Travelers Checks for a week. Great stuff.

I saw Ian McLagan playing in Billy Bragg’s band at a show in Washington DC some time in the late 90s / early 00s. I didn’t realize it was him until my concert-mate pointed him out to me, after which I couldn’t take my focus off of him. Thank heavens Macbeth’s ‘heard no more’ need not apply in these cases.
