Good call. The Who’s Heaven and Hell would also work as a closer.

Excellent. ‘I want a new drug’ would fit nicely on Side Two.

I’d buy this!! Great idea. I immediately thought Van Halen’s Source of Infection.

Reckon a Volume Two would be possible. A challenge?

excellent collection well done! I just realized how many musicians have written a song called “Misery” — I think you could do an entire album with just that one title. and you need something from The Cure, of course!

Very good. I did consider “Let’s go to bed’” but it didn’t quite work.
Before this is all over we might need a CD called Misery, eh?

or “The Fever,” we’ll just have to check in with Springsteen about that one. and Peggy Lee, I guess. “Misery” has already been the soundtrack around here ever since the last election.

Humour achieved, Bruce! I find well-timed creativity (that reinforces the important hand wash / social distance messaging), such as this playlist, definitely helps.
Other ones that jumped to mind for me were Pulp’s The Fear, The Headstones Smile & Wave (as opposed to shaking hands) – no tune for elbow bumping, yet!

Until someone writes a tune named ‘elbow bump’ – it’ll do!

I’m showing my Hair Metal side here Bruce. How about Social Disease by Bon Jovi? Maybe that could be the bonus track.

Genius, Bruce! Clever humor *always* welcome in times like these. How about Eric Carmen’s ‘All By Myself’, Gilbert O’Sullivan’s ‘Alone Again (Naturally)’, The Thompson Twins’ ‘Doctor! Doctor!’, and The Georgia Satellites’ ‘Keep Your Hands To Yourself’?

Throw ‘Common Sense’ by John Prine on there. It seems to be in short supply over here.

My first thought was The Verve’s “The Drugs Don’t Work” but I see from the Proglodytes blog that Devin Townsend has one song called “Quarantine” and another called “Pandemic”. Can you get more appropriate than that?
