Good call. The Who’s Heaven and Hell would also work as a closer.

Also, not a fan but Huey Lewis and the News’ I Need a New Drug?

Excellent. ‘I want a new drug’ would fit nicely on Side Two.

Actually, we are all already infected, infected by the fear of infection.

Sie haben rechts. We need ‘Fear Inoculum’!

I’d buy this!! Great idea. I immediately thought Van Halen’s Source of Infection.

Reckon a Volume Two would be possible. A challenge?

If this one does well, you should do a Two!!

excellent collection well done! I just realized how many musicians have written a song called “Misery” — I think you could do an entire album with just that one title. and you need something from The Cure, of course!

Very good. I did consider “Let’s go to bed’” but it didn’t quite work.
Before this is all over we might need a CD called Misery, eh?

or “The Fever,” we’ll just have to check in with Springsteen about that one. and Peggy Lee, I guess. “Misery” has already been the soundtrack around here ever since the last election.

Humour achieved, Bruce! I find well-timed creativity (that reinforces the important hand wash / social distance messaging), such as this playlist, definitely helps.
Other ones that jumped to mind for me were Pulp’s The Fear, The Headstones Smile & Wave (as opposed to shaking hands) – no tune for elbow bumping, yet!

I thought it my civic duty, Geoff.
What about Lady Bump?

Until someone writes a tune named ‘elbow bump’ – it’ll do!

I’m showing my Hair Metal side here Bruce. How about Social Disease by Bon Jovi? Maybe that could be the bonus track.

Nice. Wonder if there’s a song called “Anti-social disease”? 🙂

Ha. Sounds like a Crue tune!

Genius, Bruce! Clever humor *always* welcome in times like these. How about Eric Carmen’s ‘All By Myself’, Gilbert O’Sullivan’s ‘Alone Again (Naturally)’, The Thompson Twins’ ‘Doctor! Doctor!’, and The Georgia Satellites’ ‘Keep Your Hands To Yourself’?

JDB, you’re a legend. I think we’ll just have to have a Volume 2!

Brilliant! May I suggest Graham Nash’s “Grave Concern” if you release a Part II . 😉 – Marty

There has to be a sequel, don’t you think Marty?

Throw ‘Common Sense’ by John Prine on there. It seems to be in short supply over here.

Just heard ‘Dont Let Us Get Sick’ Warren Zevon. I know you like him. A radio guy I listen to from NYC played this tonight. Never heard it before

My first thought was The Verve’s “The Drugs Don’t Work” but I see from the Proglodytes blog that Devin Townsend has one song called “Quarantine” and another called “Pandemic”. Can you get more appropriate than that?

Nope. That just about nails it. Won’t stop me attempting another ‘title’ story for Volume 2 though!

Then there is off course also the German Krautrock/Heavy Rock/Prog band Virus
